A children’s hospice and China's first children's community palliative care service
ChinaKidz provide specialist children’s palliative care services in Changsha, plus offer palliative care services to families,
aiming to support them and avoid the pressure to abandon their sick baby/child. This is an exciting and groundbreaking project in China; even in many other parts of the world children’s hospice services are not available.
24th July update- Since April 8th 2010 in our 6 beds we have provided care for 14 very sick children, 7 of whom lived and were loved only for a short time. Another little girl responded to love and care and has now gone to live with another organisation, we are so happy at the result. We have two children waiting for adoption, two have had life changing surgery and another waiting for surgery in another country.
UPDATE
Little Eve has been to Beijing and seen several specialists. All are of the view she should have surgery as soon as possible.

What's it all about?
"Those with white hair should die first”
Unfortunately, in real life this is not always the case, and there are children throughout China, with incurable illnesses, who need the support of dedicated hospice care to see that their last days are spent in a comfortable, loving and supportive environment.
BUT it's not all bad news! Many of the children we care for do not have life limiting illness and all they need is love and good care or surgery.
